Ready To Receive
Ready To Receive
hello everyone and thank you so much for joining me today. My name is Roderick caesar the third on the lead pastor of Bethel Gospel Tabernacle in Jamaica queens new york. And I’m so excited that you decided to join me for the full Gospel hour right here on Global seven, my prayers that you will be blessed, you’ll be encouraged and inspired by this message. Thank you so much for joining and God bless without further ado, Let us dive into the text. I’ll be coming from the book of acts, chapter one Acts, chapter one versus 6 through 11 at chapter one versus six through 11, a little bit of background before we jump into the text as we’ve been looking through the scripture, which we’ve seen that jesus lived, jesus died and he resurrected Right, he lived a life of, of an estimate of about 33 years he died resurrected and he lived and showed himself again to eyewitnesses, face to face, he popped up in the life of his disciples, they’re eating and he just pops up, Hey, I’m here time and time again. He shows himself then disappears and shows himself then disappears and makes an account too many eyewitnesses of the fact that he is alive. But before he leaves, he says, hey, I’m not going to stay with you long, but before he leaves, uh, he ascended into heaven but prepared his disciples to be filled with the holy spirit and that’s what we’re going to address today. The topic our title today is called Ready to receive, Ready to receive, if you have your bibles, you can follow along with me. If not you can follow along with the screen. So when they had come together they asked him, Lord will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel and he said to them, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons that the father has fixed by his own authority, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all judea judea and samaria and to the end of the earth. And when he had said these things as they were out looking on, he was lifted up and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold two men stood by them in white robes and said, Men of galilee, why do you look standing into heaven? Excuse me? Why do you stand looking into heaven? This jesus who was taken up from you into heaven will come in the same way as you saw him go in to heaven. You’re gonna thank you so much for this time. I thank you for this service. I thank you for this word and I thank you for these people. God, I thank you for your church for Bethel Gospel Tabernacle, not only the building, but if this pandemic has showed us something is that we are the church. So I pray for those that are in earshot that are listening to this right now, at whatever time, whatever season I pray that you would bless them, I pray that you would be with them and I pray Lord that they would know that you are more than enough, I pray that they would be ready to receive not only this word, but the other words that you’re saying and the things that you want to do in their lives, I pray for a heart that is receptive today, we thank you, we praise you, we give you glory, we ask these things in jesus name and everyone said, amen, amen the men ready to receive. What I love about jesus is that Jesus loves us, right, He loves us enough to prepare us for change to prepare us for shift and we see this happening in the life of the apostles because Jesus would show up, show himself mighty and strong, reveal himself and then he would back away, show up, reveal himself and say, hey I’m here, I’m resurrected, come feel the scars in my hands and the scars on my side and the scars in my feet and then he would just vanish because he was preparing the disciples for the day that he would no longer be there, he was letting them know in a, in a way that their relationship, the dynamic will shift. The dynamic would change and he was preparing them for the presence and the power of the holy Spirit, he was preparing them uh to realize, okay, what am I going to do when this jesus, who I’ve seen for three years, who have walked with for three years, who have been following for three years is no longer visually there for me to follow, what am I going to do? We see the disciples answering this question when they end up going fishing, they go fishing and uh Jesus is, he’s there and he’s gone, he’s there and he’s going to, peter’s like look, y’all, I’m going back, going back fishing and they go fishing and jesus lets him, lets everyone know that hey, I’m still here, he shows up, they go fishing all night, they catch nothing, they’re spinning their wheels trying to catch some fish, they catch nothing, Jesus says, cast your net over to the other side, they do, so they try to pull up the fish, but it’s so much, peter becomes overwhelmed, realizes that this is the Lord, after john tells him, he jumps into the water, swims to jesus, they have this beautiful moment of restoration and then we realize that Jesus is not going to stay, but Jesus has somewhere to go, he has somewhere to go. The Holy Spirit is going to come, he knew he wasn’t staying and he loved them enough to prepare them for his departure, the Holy Spirit came, but the conditions had to be right, the conditions had to be right because when the spirit came, the power came, when the President’s comes, the power of the Lord comes. And if there’s one thing that the enemy does not want us to know as believers. Yes, uh, no period, it’s of the saving work and the grace and salvation that’s available to us through jesus christ. But if there’s something that he doesn’t want us to know as believers, it’s that we have power. If there’s something that the enemy doesn’t want us to know as believers, it’s that we have authority. If there’s something the enemy doesn’t want us to know as believers, it’s that we don’t have to live like a victim, but we can live like a victor. Those are some things that the enemy wants to keep us silent and blind about and have us not understand that we have strength that greater is he who is in us than he that is in the world. He wants us not to be aware of this and some of us were aware of it, but we don’t live like it. If we’re aware of it, the enemy says, okay, they’re aware, they know they have power, they know they have strength, but maybe there’s some things that I can put in their path, put in their way. So they don’t walk in this power and walk in the strength and too often as believers, that’s where many of us find our selves next week is Pentecost sunday And on this Sunday uh celebrated 40 days after resurrection Sunday, Easter Sunday and it highlights what we’ll take a closer look at next week when the Holy Spirit comes and arrests on and lives in the lives of the people in the early church and that important day cannot be overlooked because it means so much for for advancing the gospel, it means so much for advancing the gospel. And so next week being Pentecost sunday, it’s fitting and important to realize that Jesus had to leave for the Holy Spirit to come, Jesus had to ascend for the Holy Spirit to come and 40 days after he resurrected this Holy Spirit does come. The promises that jesus say do come to pass and the Holy Spirit comes. But the conditions have to be right. The individuals that the holy Spirit is falling upon have to be ready to receive. You see their perspective has to be altered. We see it in the sixth verse of Acts chapter one, it says So when they had all come together, they asked Jesus Lord will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel, Jesus is resurrected, Jesus has shown himself mighty, showing himself strong, he said, yeah, I still have the scars, but I’m now different. I can now just teleport and show up in your room and say, hey guys, what are you eating, Let me dine with you. I’m not limited as I was pre resurrection, I now I’m in this perfect body. I still have the scars to show you what I’ve been through, but I have a resurrection power and all things are now at my feet and he’s doing this and saying this and living this and they are only thinking about themselves, they asked this question, they say Lord will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel, Jesus does all this, and they think it’s just about Israel Jesus does all this, and they’re saying, okay, so now you’re gonna restore the kingdom to Israel, you’re gonna beat up the romans and take us out of roman oppression, Jesus says, no, this is this is so much bigger than that, you’re you’re missing it, you’re missing it, you’re missing it. He’s thinking and they’re thinking it’s only about them. And sometimes for us today, oftentimes we make the plan of God or the way God moves in our lives center around us. Like it’s all about us because all and only about us, the jews thought it was only about them and they missed the entire point of uh of uh the gentiles, that’s why it was such a big deal that those that were not jews would be grafted into the kingdom and oftentimes for us, we can make it look like what God is doing revolves around us and only us around our wants around our desires, but we are a part of a much bigger picture. Let us not forget saints of God that we are a part of something that is bigger than us. It’s bigger than our wants. That is bigger than our desires. That is bigger than what we see. But God wants to expand our mind and and jesus reminds us that because when he responds to them, he says, it’s not for you to know the time or the seasons that the father has fixed by his own authority. Look what you want to happen. That’s great and all. But it’s not for you to know. This is bigger than you. God has some things in place that he set up by his own authority. And you may not understand it just yet. You may not know the time or when it’s gonna happen just yet, but know that it’s by his own authority. And his response reminds us of our role in this. That yes, we have a part to play, but it does not. But it’s not all about us. Yes, we have a part to play. But it’s not all that so that our which can be scratched. Yes, we have a part to play. But it’s not all so that we can uh so that people can say to us, oh wow, that was wonderful. What a great job you did that we have a part to play in the larger picture of the whole and God knows the ebb the flow. God knows the beginning from the end. And so it’s important for us to trust God in the midst of this process and then he says, it’s not for you to know. But what I will tell you is you will receive power. He says, look you’re going to receive power because the Holy Spirit is gonna come upon you and you’ll be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all judea and samaria and the ends of the earth. So their perspective had to be shifted but then there were positions that had to be played. He says, look you’re gonna be witnesses and then in verse nine he says this thing and he says and he says these things and as they were looking on he was lifted up and the cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went behold two men stood by and white robes and said, men of galilee, why do you look into heaven? This jesus who was taken up from you into heaven will come down in the same way as you saw him go into heaven. And what what I think we need to understand here is that the ascension of jesus christ, jesus christ ascending. Imagine this, this man you walked with talked with believed to be this messiah just suddenly levitates and just keeps going higher and i it’s like all right, yeah, but you know the Holy Spirit’s gonna see power just going, going going and they’re just they’re just watching Star Star struck, amazed in awe and a cloud took him from their sight, he went high enough so they could see him no more and they’re still gazing, watching jaws dropped, can’t can’t understand what their mind isn’t processing this. And two men in white robes show up and say, hey what you guys doing, where you guys stand in, their star struck for the same way, jesus left the same way he’s going to come back and the ascension of jesus christ and the coming of the Holy Spirit shows us one of the most important shifts in scripture because jesus left and the Holy Spirit ends up coming and dwelling on those disciples and in the disciples and it shows us one of the most important shifts that take place in the bible, it shows us perfect unity between the Godhead, between the holy trinity, everyone was equal and willing to pay their play their respective parts in relationship to creation, that shows us that you have to know how to play your part. If you don’t play your part and the team something is going to go amiss, something is going to fail, something is going to go wrong and the God had three in one were imperfect unity, jesus didn’t say no, I’m staying a little bit longer, you know, I’m liking all this uh this attention, I’m getting from being resurrected, so I’m gonna stay longer. The Holy Spirit didn’t say, I don’t, I don’t feel like coming right now. You know I don’t I don’t feel like it is not a good time for me. You know God didn’t say sacrifice. Yeah that’s not enough, I need more. You know the trinity was is in perfect unity and this is a picture of unity on display the fact that jesus said hey I have to go so that the Holy Spirit can come. And it also shows us the ascension of christ in the coming of the Holy Spirit shows us that we now have a responsibility. We now have a role to play until christ returns and the Holy Spirit enables us helps us empowers us to walk in that role. So they stand there gazing, they stand, their jaws dropped, looking up amazed and the angels remind them, hey uh the same way jesus left, that’s the same way he’s coming back, Jesus is coming back one day so don’t just stand there looking but get busy living. Don’t just stand there amazed but but get busy living. Yes, it’s amazing to watch but there’s so much to do before his return you have to prepare for his return. Yes, that’s amazing the fact that he levitated and the cloud took him away, took him out of your sight. But if you heard correctly he said you will receive power, you’re not receiving power just so you could stay there and and look amazed. No no no you’re receiving power to go and accomplish something you receive so that you can do, you are blessed so that you can be a blessing, sounds like advancement. Sounds like responsibility. You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses to responsibility, it’s a responsibility and it shows us that Jesus trusted his disciples. So follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, they followed him and it wasn’t perfect. We realized that when jesus walked this earth and the disciples were with him, they fell time and time again, they got it wrong time and time again and that didn’t stop. Once the Holy Spirit came, they still got it wrong, they still messed up but they were now filled with power now filled with authority and they handled things differently. They spoke out with more conviction, They spoke out with more freedom. They were bold in their convictions. The Holy Spirit did a wonderful work. He did a wonderful work and wonderful change in there lives. You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. I want to take a closer look at what this means later on. But real quick, I want us to look at the fact that jesus prepared the disciples for his departure and prepared the disciples for the arrival of the Holy Spirit. The ground has to be prepared. The ground has to be prepared if you know uh something about farming, you know that they prepare the ground before they sow the seed, It’s good to prepare the ground before you saw the seed in Luke. Chapter eight, Jesus speaks about the parable of the sower while he was still here. He speaks and gives the sermon of the parable of the sower, he tells stories and it reads this, it says luke chapter eight verse four, and when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable, a sower went out to sow his seed and as he sold some fell along the path and it was trampled underfoot and the birds of the air devoured it and some fell on the rock and as it grew up, it withered away because it had no moisture, some fell on the thorns and the thorns grew up with it and choked it and some fell on good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold and he said these things and he called out, he who has ears to hear, let him here you see, it’s important that what Soane is sewn on ground that is sustainable on ground that is conducive for growth. And throughout the gospels, we see that jesus prepares the disciples not just for his departure but for the arrival of the Holy Spirit, he prepares them. And just as he said at the end of this parable, he who has ears to hear, let him hear That same spirit applies to what he said to the disciples Matthew chapter three verse 11, he says, john says, john says this, john is kind of the precursor to what Jesus does, he’s setting the stage from when jesus comes on the scene and even john knew Jesus was bringing something special with him, Jesus, excuse me, John said I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire, something special is coming, john realized this and realized that something bigger was coming, this jesus that would show up, would baptize not just with water but with the Holy Spirit and fire. And then Jesus says to the disciples, he says in luke chapter 11 verse 13, he says, if you then who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your Children, how much more will the Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him speaking to uh these individuals and it’s a parable he uses before this, but he lets them know, look, if you know how to give good gifts to your Children and you know your heart isn’t right, how much more will God, the loving father, the good good father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask you have not because you ask not And then John Chapter 14, he says to them, he says these things, I have spoken to you while I am still with you while I’m still here, I’ve spoken important things to you while I’m still here, I’ve spoken things of value to you, but there’ll be a time when I’m not here and the helper, the Holy Spirit whom my father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance, all that I have said to you, that’s that’s a peek behind the curtain right there to let the disciples know that hey jesus isn’t gonna always be here, why would the Holy Spirit have to remind us of what Jesus would say if jesus is always gonna be there, he’s not, which lets us know the importance of the Holy spirit in the lives of the disciples and in this season and in this time And then in John chapter 20 we see one of the uh One of the more detailed accounts of the Holy Spirit at work in the lives of the disciples in John chapter 20 Jesus is here and he has risen from the dead and on that evening of the day, we were the first day of the week, the doors being locked, the disciples were in fear of the jews, Jesus came and stood among them and he said peace be with you when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side and the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord and jesus said to them again peace be with you and now watch this, he says as the father has sent me even so I am sending you and when he said this, he had breathed on them and said to them receive the Holy Spirit, the he breathed on them and said to them receive the Holy Spirit Spirit, the Numa, the breath, the wind of God, Jesus says to them receive the Holy Spirit. Now, many commentaries are saying, wait, if the Holy Spirit showed up here, if this happened here, then what’s the significance of what took place later on in the Book of Acts? But there’s a couple commentaries, I I’ve read through that, I think do this text, some some good justice and it says it’s almost like a precursor or like a preview to what will take place. Whereas this was jesus almost preparing the disciples for the spirit that was to come, saying yes, received the Holy Spirit, not received the Holy Spirit right now, but when this time comes, receive the Holy Spirit, it’s a preview of sorts, letting them know what’s to come and preparing their hearts to receive, as I said before in farming the ground has to be prepared and all throughout the circumstances of the lives of the disciples, it was God preparing them for the time, when jesus wouldn’t be there, it was jesus preparing them for the time when they would have to be led by the Holy Spirit, the ground had to be prepared and often in our lives as well. Sometimes we don’t see it as we go through it, as we go through pain as we go through joy as we go through difficulty. But God is preparing us for something greater, preparing us for maybe a move preparing us for what it is that he wants to do in our lives. And many times we don’t see it until it happens. We don’t see it or realize that oh you’re preparing me for this, you’re prepared. This is this is why I struggled, this is why I shed tears. This is why I felt alone. This is why I went through what I went through because you were preparing me for where I am now Or you’re preparing me for for where I’m going. And often we don’t see it until we’re in it. We don’t see it until we were obtained it because often hindsight is 2020 and looking back we do the math and realize oh this is why this is why I was never easy for me. This is why I toiled and struggled. This is why I went through this season to help me now that I’ve arrived in this season. And so God will prepare our hearts just as you prepare the hearts of the disciples And in this moment when he breathed on the 10, he prepared them to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and now the amazing thing about this is you would think after he said this, he breathed on them, he received, he says receive the Holy Spirit that oh they would they would be, yes, okay, let’s go. We’re going to receive the Holy Spirit. Let’s go. But they go fishing after this, They go fishing, they miss it. And what I think, I think this is good for us to see and good for us to realize because the preparation of the heart isn’t something often that’s immediately seen. It’s something that takes time. It’s something that takes work and the fruit of your preparation will not always be seen or realize to you or to the naked eye or to those around you, but know that it counts, know that it matters even when you cannot see your progress just yet. Do not cheat yourself. Stay committed to the cause, committed to the task committed to what God has committed to what God has called you to know that it counts, know that it matters, know that it’s important and know that we’re not doing it for immediate results anyway. Because if there’s one thing we know about God is that his ways are not our ways, thoughts are not our thoughts. His time is not our time. So we may want to yield fruit immediately. We may want to see results immediately, but God is on a different clock than we are. And it’s oftentimes in the marathon, in the running of the race that we’re able to see those results, so stay the course and oftentimes you know with the disciples when they, when jesus had received the holy spirit, they went fishing, even in those moments of them going back and going fishing, jesus was still present, she just didn’t leave them to their devices and say, you know, let’s see how long this lasts because they come back running to me? No, no, no, he showed up and met them where they were. So I understand and know that God is still with us never to leave us never to forsake us. So as the, as the team comes up and as I prepare to close out, I want us to look at how we are ready and how we are getting ready to receive what god is getting ready to do, oftentimes God prepares us or speaks to us about how to get ready for something, how to prepare for something. My question is, are we ready to receive, Are we ready to receive? Are we in a position to get ready to receive? Are we in a position to get ready to prepare for what God is going to do? Are you preparing for what you’re praying for? I said this before. Are you preparing for what you’re praying for our you just praying praying, praying so that when it shows up, you know and already I gotta prepare, hold on, hold on, are you preparing for what you’re praying for? Are you ready to receive? Saints of God? It is a faith walk. We walk by faith and not by sight. So we want to receive we want to have what the Lord wants to give. But it’s a faith walk. We walk by faith and faith without works is dead. So while we’re while we’re praying we have to prepare while we’re believing we have to build while we have faith we have to work and and the enemy will try to trick us and say oh what you’re believing for. You can never have because you’ve never seen it before. You’ve never seen what a healthy marriage looks like. You’ve never seen what two people living together under one roof in a healthy way looks like. So you can’t have a healthy marriage. You’ve never seen what owning a home looks like you were uh you grew up in this way or grew up that way. So you know your home ownership that that’s that’s not for you or you’ve never you’ve never seen what raising a child in a healthy way looks like so parenting. No, no, no that’s that’s not for you. The enemy will lie to you and keep you bound. The enemy will lie to you and keep you stuck, the enemy will lie to you. And so just because you haven’t seen it, that means it’s not in the cards for you that means God doesn’t have it for you. Just because you’ve seen a bad example of X, y and Z. That that means it’s not for you. But that’s alive from the enemy that is alive from the pit. And so we have to rise up Saints of God and say no, no, no God I am chosen. I am a child of God. God has called me to this, This is something I am believing him for. And even if I’ve seen a bad example of it, it has shown me what not to do. And even if I haven’t seen an example of this in my home, it has shown me to be present. Or even if I haven’t seen an example of this in the workspace has shown me how to step up. Mhm showing me to ask the right questions. Mm So let God guide in this season as we pray and as we prepare because we don’t just want to pray without preparing for what God wants to do in our lives and in this church, in our lives and in this church to faith walk sense of God, it’s a faith walk And I believe God wants us to walk by faith. Every step is gonna be a step of faith. Every step isn’t something where we just all we know how it’s all going to pan out, but we’re believing and trusting God because that that gets our heart ready to receive, that gets us off the rocky ground and puts us on the ground that’s ready to receive that? The faith? The fact that we walk in faith, it removes the thorns from our from our hearts. That may choke up the word or choke up what God wants to give. It gets the seed off of the path where it’s trampled up by by other individuals, by the words or actions of others are trampled up by the birds or emotions and it gets what God wants to do to fall on good ground on good soil. So I encourage you this week to take a leap of faith, take a step of faith, whatever that looks like for you, it may start small and grow, but I believe God is calling us to step out in faith just because we haven’t seen, it doesn’t mean we can’t prepare for it. And as we get ready to receive what God wants to do, many of us, we have personal goals and personal things that Mhm We want God to do for us and in our lives and we’ve been praying, you’ve been saying, okay, God do this, God working in this way, God working that way for us Bethel as a ministry, we have some corporate goals that we want to see God accomplish, we’ll share more on that. But wherever it is, wherever we are in in the seasons of our of our life, understand that it’s not going to happen without faith and the faith is beautiful to have, but that’s not gonna happen without works, we need to work for it. And so are we getting ready to receive? Ask yourself that honest question, Am I getting ready to receive what God is doing? You know? Oftentimes in worship, when we raise our hands like this or we raise our hands like this, we don’t raise them with a fist, you know, unless we’re saying something triumphant, you know? But oftentimes we raise our hands in like this in surrender, open to what God wants to do. I pray that the posture of our heart is open today to what God wants to do, ready to receive what God wants to give, ready to let go of what God wants to take. So are we getting ready to receive If not, here are some tools to help us get ready spiritually, spiritually, the Word of God, the Word of God, I hope you are reading your word each and every day, you’re finding a scripture to read. It could be the physical bible or you can have, you know, the bible on your phone bible app, whatever that looks like for you. Audio bible, there’s many different ways to engage with scripture, do not neglect its Saints of God has called the sword of the Spirit for a reason. Yeah. And it’s important for us to engage with scripture because it is, it is the word that will uh pierce our hearts that will navigate the thorns that are there, that will help break the ground that’s there. So the word of God will help us get ready for the move of God. Let’s not forget to engage with the word of God. Also let us not forget to pray and fast prayer and fasting. I put them together because jesus did when the disciples were having trouble casting out this demon, they could not do it. They tried and tried and tried and jesus said some things can only be done through prayer and fasting. If you want to see a movie, if you want to be ready to receive the move, please pair the both of those together. Find a day this week that suits you or or that works out and maybe faster a meal. You don’t have to go the whole day whatever you can, whatever is comfortable for you take some time and fast, lay down your plate and pray and seek God. Many times we say, oh you know I just want to do X, Y Z. I want to do great things for God. But it all starts with a small step, you don’t have to fast all week and have to fast 40 days, you have to take a time and do what works for you. God will see that and honor that thirdly praise and worship praise and worship. Now it’s not just music, it’s not just song, it’s not just dance. Of course, you know, we worship with our lives after your offer your lives living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual act of worship. So our lives is worth, our lives offering our lives as a form of worship. But specifically I’m speaking about music, I’m speaking about song, I’m speaking about dance, take time throughout our busy schedules to engage with the Lord through music. If that is how you uh function and how you’re wired, try to listen to some songs that will steal your heart in the direction of truth, in the direction of who God says he is in your life and worship him. He wants to hear you give him praise, he wants to hear you give him glory, he wants you to open up your mouth and give him glory. He wants you to use your hands and your feet to give him praise. So let’s not neglect that, do that this week. And then lastly, uh spiritually with another thing that’s gonna help us get ready is mentorship and community mentorship and community. If you have someone that you can reach out to that older that’s been through life a little bit more, a bit more experienced in certain areas. Call them, reach out to have a conversation, there’s someone that knows a bit more and see if they’ll be willing to help you walk through a certain season of your life, Be the aggressor in that component. A lot of times you say, oh well nobody’s reaching out to me or we’ll be, be the aggressor, be the one that that goes after and seeks that mentorship and also community as well. Be in community, be sure you’re dialoguing and connecting with other believers, other like minded people that can help keep you grounded, keep you focused uh community within the church as well. Coming to prayer, coming to six a.m. Prayer, going to bible, study tuning in for service like this, that helps as well. And so those are some spiritual things that can help us to get ready but practically as well, not just spiritually but also physically practically help us get ready in terms of taking care of our health with our eating or diet or exercise, financially being able to handle our money well speaking with someone that knows more than you. Uh and then educate yourself, read books, get your mind ready for whatever it is. I mean everyone has a different thing that you may be believing God for so go out and educate yourself on that thing on what it takes to maintain what it is. We’re in the era of Youtube now, so you can literally learn pretty much anything, there’s someone that knows anything, so figure it, figure it out and look things up, take classes do what you have to do. But then also emotionally this is the last, the last point here emotionally, we need to process the seasons were in. We need to process the journeys were going on. Journal vent. However it is, you need to get what’s in out. Do that. Whether it’s going to counseling and talking it out, whether it’s finding a trusted friend and talking it out, whether it’s opening a some paper and writing it down and getting your thoughts out, your feelings out, be sure to do that because it’s going to help you as you prepare for what it is you’re praying into or sowing into and also don’t be afraid to grieve to grieve. The loss is of particular seasons. Even if you’re walking into celebratory seasons or, or great seasons, don’t be afraid to grieve the seasons that you’re walking out of. That’s important as well. And lastly, the third, the third thing is celebrating, celebrate, celebrate what God is doing celebrate by faith. Even if you’re not walking in it just yet. Even if you just believe in God for what he said, he’s going to do or believe in God for what you feel he will do. Be sure to celebrate walk by faith and give God praise. I close with this thought. There was a song that says, I anticipate the inevitable supernatural intervention of God. I expect a miracle. I expect a miracle. I expect a miracle, expect nothing less. Then the miraculous expect nothing less than a move of God and prepare yourself to be ready for when it happens. Let’s pray. Dear God, I thank you so much for your people. I thank you for your son’s. I thank you for your daughters. I thank you for your your kingdom, your kingdom. That we pray to come. Your will that we pray to be done. I pray Lord that you would get all the glory, all the honor and all the praise. I pray father that as we surrender to you as we make ourselves available to you, Lord, that you would do what only you can do in our lives as we trust in you. God, that you would show yourself mighty and show yourself strong. Show yourself mighty and show yourself strong and make us new. God help us to trust you. Help us to seek you daily. God help us to roll up our sleeves and get to work. Faith without works is dead. Help our faith to be a living faith and an act of faith. Help us to be ready to receive the power that comes with the Spirit of God. Help us to be ready not only to receive, but to walk in the power that comes with the Spirit of God. I thank you for your holy Spirit. I thank you that you didn’t leave us as orphans. You didn’t leave us alone, but you came to us and you gave us your spirit. So I pray Lord that we would walk in strength. Walk in power and be ready to receive the spirit of God. We thank you, we praise you, we give you glory.
